DENVER – Jim Nussbaum, a leading real estate professional with The Kentwood Company in the Denver Tech Center, has earned the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation from the National Association of Realtors (NAR). CIPS designees have demonstrated expertise in international real estate practice by completing education and experiential requirements. Nussbaum is now connected to an active global network of real estate professionals who are among the top-producing practitioners in the global real estate business.
The CIPS designation focuses on educating real estate professionals about transaction principles of international real estate, including specifics on real estate markets, investment trends, marketing strategies, currency issues, and financing in Europe, the Americas, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and the Pacific Rim. Topics covered in the CIPS classes also include cultural diversity.
Nussbaum earned his bachelor’s degree in English from St. John’s University and his Masters degree in Business Administration/Marketing from the University of Wisconsin. Nussbaum joined Van Schaack and Company as a real estate agent in 1970, earning the President’s Club award recognizing superior sales production each succeeding year. In five of his last seven years with the company, he was the top residential sales associate among approximately 350 agents.
In 1981, Nussbaum helped form The Kentwood Company with four other former Van Schaack sales associates. He has consistently ranked among the top-producing real estate professionals in Colorado and has garnered numerous production awards throughout his distinguished career, including the number one ranking for total sales volume in the state on multiple occasions. Nussbaum has also been listed in Who’s Who in America.
